Justification: Mercy is Swiss. Switzerland has a significant German-speaking population, so it is quite plausible for her and Medic to be related.
FWIW, I suspect that Tracer and Scout would get on like a house on fire (oh, the sanity!) and I suspect that Winston and Engie would happily while away the years building ever more ludicrous mad science gadgets.
